The before and after…
20.07.2026
Back home after a short trip to Italy, I’m finally reviewing the results from my week in Skagen.
It began out there in the water, surrounded by waves, changing light and the last warmth of the day.
Camera in hand, waiting, watching and trying to capture something that cannot really be planned.
Months of preparation can lead to just a few seconds when everything suddenly feels right.
The first look at the images is always quite breathtaking. I’m often surprised by what has appeared. The camera records the moment, but the final work slowly reveals itself afterwards - through selection, movement, colour and instinct.
I never really know where an image will end up.
For me, it begins with a feeling. And when that feeling is right, the next phase begins: creating the print, choosing the frame and seeing the work take physical form.
From standing alone in the sea in Skagen to a finished piece on the wall.
And hopefully, one day, it will continue its journey and find a home in someone else’s space.
This is my view
09.07.2026
Floating in the waves with a camera in my hands, constantly washed over by the sea and carried by the swell, I'm simply trying to stay calm long enough to capture a fleeting moment.
It's a balance between the power of the ocean and a few quiet seconds of focus, all in the hope that one of those moments -will one day find its place on someone's wall.
But it's also where I feel most alive
Every photo is a balance between the sea's power and a few quiet moments of focus
I wouldn't want to create my work any other way

This is my life as an Artist-in-Residence in Skagen
Long days
Cold water
Endless light
Countless cups of coffee
Most people only see the finished photograph.
They don't see the 4 a.m. alarm, the cold water, or the thousands of quiet decisions made before pressing the shutter - Wouldn't trade it for anything
Big thank you to Nils + Anne
2026 – A Year of New Beginnings
08.07.2026
Looking back, 2026 already feels like a turning point.
I moved from Hellerup to Nørrebro and began a new chapter in Copenhagen.
It wasn't just a change of address, it was a reminder that growth often begins when we're willing to leave something familiar behind.
One of the year's highlights was exhibiting my work during 3 Days of Design in Copenhagen as part of the Bernhard Petersen exhibition.
Seeing people stop, reflect, and connect with my photographs is one of the greatest rewards of being an artist.
Travelling continues to shape both my life and my work.
In Umbria, Italy, I spent time in the quiet beauty surrounding an old palazzo owned by a close friend.
A little later, I enjoyed a wonderful holiday in Anzio with my two sons - a reminder that the most valuable moments are often the simplest ones.
Right now, I'm fortunate to be an Artist-in-Residence in Skagen. Every sunrise and sunset offers a new opportunity to explore the relationship between light, water, and the horizon, the themes that continue to define my work.
Another milestone this year was selling an artwork to Marie in Montreal, Canada. Knowing that one more of my photographs now lives on another continent is both humbling and inspiring.
As I look ahead, my ambition remains the same: to create work that connects with people across borders.
Maybe the next stop will be Montreal. Perhaps New York.
For now, I'm simply grateful to keep doing what I love, following the light, one photograph at a time.

Captured in the water close to Salomons Kapel in North Bornholm during the summer of 2025 - a place defined
by silence, stone and sea. The artwork has now been sold and has found a new home.

The room
01.03.2024
A room's centrepiece often sets the entire space's tone and style. It can draw attention, create a focal point, and even dictate the flow of the room's design. Whether it's a striking piece of furniture, a stunning work of art, an elaborate light fixture, or even something as simple as a vase of fresh flowers, the centrepiece can significantly impact the overall ambience and aesthetics of the room. It's like the cherry on top of a sundae—it adds that extra touch of flair and personality that makes the space truly special.

Only one print of each image is made. Upon delivery, the artist destroys the original digital file, making each print a Limited Edition and a true one-of-a-kind.
With each artwork, there is an authenticity coin with the title of the artwork engraved into the coin - making the artwork one of a kind and very unique.

Signing first prints
05.09.2019
After five years of extensive testing, I am thrilled to announce that I am finally ready to embark on the next chapter of my journey. With the help and support of my dear friend Henrik Nistrup, I am preparing to create my very first batch of artwork. Today, the first set of prints have arrived at my house for me to sign and return to the framer. It's an exciting time, especially after a challenging period in my life.
I'm grateful for the support of my friends and family as I pursue this dream. Over the past five years, I've worked tirelessly to develop my craft and refine my process. It hasn't been easy, and there were times when I wasn't sure if I would ever get here. But I persevered, and now I'm ready to share my work with the world.
Thank you for sharing in my journey. I can't wait to see what the future holds!
The making of the movie
06.08.2019
I started working on the story, which took me about three months to complete. Luckily, photographer Andreas Raun helped me in the water. We fine-tuned the final storyboard and had a plan ready. Despite the imperfect weather, we started early and got prepared on the beach in Hellerup. We entered the water with two cameras, and Andreas was patient and focused throughout, even though he was a bit cold (he only wore a wetsuit borrowed from a friend, whereas I wore a drysuit). After completing the water part, Andreas captured some drone shots, and I did more swimming. In the end, we had about five hours of footage, which Andreas condensed into a one-minute video. We felt that the story flowed well, but the hard part came next - colour grading. I don't know how he did it, but Andreas did a great job and added the smooth music that supported the scenes and gave them a good feel.
It all startede here…
26.05.2017
An idea is just an idea until you do something -like my father, I like the sea, so I went into the water with my phone + waterproof case - but soon found out that I needed to go all in if I wanted to create something unique.
